Kinda.
Session 1 - We get hired to do over a rival gang by one of our Yakuza contacts.
Session 2 - We discover (the hard way) that the rival gang leader is a Dragon. We beg for our puny mammalian lives and agree to work for him.
Session 3 - Our new dragon overlord tells us that the Yakuza contact is also a dragon and suggests we do something lower rent - like try to stop a rival gang gain a foothold in the city.
Session 4 - We get intel that the new rival gang leader is coming to SanFrancisco in his tour bus! We borrow a tank, and prepare an ambush by mining the road.
Session 5 - Flawless ambush! Except... his 'bus' is a hovertank with an illusory glamour of a tour bus. We shell his tank. Lots. He gets out of the smoking wreckage. We shell him, lots. His Phoenix spirit girlfriend gets out of the tank and incorporeally penetrates our tank. Our troll archer shoots the gangleader in the head, lots. The gangleader seems dismayed, rather than dead and draws his katana.
Session 6 - cleanup. We last about another half a combat round.

The 'rival gang leader' was a vampiric shaman of the Phoenix totem. Once any damage actually notices despite his phenomenal regenerative undead powers and he dies - the Power of the Phoenix reanimates him on full health the following round.

So, we're starting players, beginning to run the shadows. We meet 2 dragons and a vampire unkillable fave recurring NPC and his murderous girlfriend spirit - 'She was designed to kill a party much harder than you guys!'

I think we started to play something else, after that.
